The Department of Homeland Security has identified two leakers who allegedly exposed DHS’s deportation plans, Secretary Kristi Noem said on Friday afternoon.
“We have identified two leakers of information here at the Department of Homeland Security who have been telling individuals about our operations and putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy,” she said in a video message on Friday. “We plan to prosecute these two individuals and hold them accountable for what they’ve done. We’re going to continue to do all that we can to keep America safe.”
We have identified criminal leakers within @DHSGov and are preparing to refer these perpetrators to the @DOJ for felony prosecutions.
These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prison.

She also added in an “X” post that DHS is preparing to refer the leakers to the DOJ.
“These individuals face up to 10 years in federal prison,” she said. “We will find and root out all leakers. They will face prison time & we will get justice for the American people.”
Her announcement comes after leakers exposed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids to the outlet Migrant Insider and the group Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid before the raids took place, prompting one ICE official to tell Fox News that the leaks could cause an ICE agent to be killed. Noem said at the time of the leak that the ICE raid was still successful, capturing MS-13 gang members, 18th Street gang members, and sex criminals.
“We will not be deterred by leaks,” she said in an X post on March 5. “If you come to this country and break our laws, we will hunt you down. Successful enforcement operation this morning—getting MS-13 members, 18th Street gang members and perpetrators of sexual crimes off our streets.”

Migrant Insider editor Pablo Manriquez tweeted, “Judicial warrants mean ICE can go into your homes, so plan accordingly,” ahead of the raids. He also posted about where ICE had been spotted, specifically naming the Virginia towns of Manassas, Rosslyn, Arlington, Ballston, and more.
“We break immigration news all the time,” he told Fox News of his reporting. “We follow this topic very closely and haven’t seen any reports of ICE being harmed.”
