Democrats just seem to keep doubling down on bad takes in videos. I could tell them to stop. But if they keep doing this, they’re never going to get back into power and that would be a great thing for America.
I wrote earlier about the embarrassing delusional video put out by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) where he laid out why he thought the Democrats had the “Republicans on the run.”
We also saw how the White House dunked all over the Democrats’ silly “choose their fighter” video where you had folks like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) striking fighting poses to music (and looking generally like they knew nothing about actual fighting). The White House reminded them how the American people had already chosen their “fighter” — President Donald Trump and his team.

But if that wasn’t enough, now Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) (who also happened to be one of the female lawmakers in that embarrassing “choose your fighter” video) just said something that has people’s eyebrows going up. She was on MSNBC with Katie Phang. “It is not a criminal violation to enter the country illegally,” Crockett claimed. “It’s not a crime.”

Community Notes dunked on that statement with the receipts, saying, “Yes, it is a crime,” citing federal law, 8 U.S.C. 1325. “Improper entry by an alien.”
Crockett might also want to check in with the Justice Department, which certainly views it as a crime.
People called her out into next week for that take, and she’s a lawyer.

Perhaps Crockett was thinking of “illegal presence” as opposed to “illegal entry” into the country. Overstaying on a visa, for example, is a civil offense.
Crockett seems to be upping her time on media. But I don’t think it’s helping her much. The Democrats just keep adding to their hot takes’ collection.

But in any event, she’s supposed to be a member of Congress, helping to defend the country. She’s even from Texas, a border state. And this is how clueless she is, this is the attitude that she takes? Why would anyone — particularly from Texas — vote for someone like this? And she is one of the “faces” of the Democrats. And they wonder why the American people are rejecting them? And MSNBC wonders why their ratings are tanking?
Maybe it’s because they put out stuff like this. Democrats seem to be working hard to never win again.
