We all knew that under Joe Biden, the southern border was a disaster, with millions of illegal aliens being welcomed in by a feckless administration that did little to nothing to stop them. Sex trafficking was rampant, as were endless humanitarian crises and suffering. Meanwhile, the front pages of the news had story after story of murders and crimes committed by criminals who never should have been here in the first place.
Biden kept saying we need a new congressional bill to solve it, but since Trump’s inauguration in January, he has exposed that lie over and over and has dramatically stemmed the flow to a trickle. Meanwhile his team has been busy repatriating miscreants and gang members at a feverish pace.
New numbers released by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) further tarnish the poisoned legacy of Biden and his former DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Fox News’ Bill Melugin reports:

Trump administration ICE interior arrests of illegal aliens inside the US has already surpassed all of Biden’s ICE interior arrests in all of Fiscal Year 2024. In Trump’s first 50 days in office from January 20th through March 10th, the Trump administration ICE has made 32,809 arrests of illegal aliens in the interior of the US. This almost matches all of Biden ICE interior arrests in FY 2024, which were about 33,300.
Officials say in the last two days since March 10th, the Trump ICE arrests are now above this number.

We Didn’t Need a Border Bill—We Needed a Competent President
Now if you watch MSNBC or read the Los Angeles Times (which you probably don’t), you’d believe that most of these arrests were of hard-working gardeners, peaceful moms and virtuous children who just want to go to school. The reality however is far different:
Of the roughly 33,000 ICE arrests under Trump so far: 14,111 are convicted criminals 9,980 have pending charges 8,000 + have immigration violations (being in US illegally) ICE currently has 47,600 illegal aliens in detention, and they are “maxed out” on beds.
Meanwhile, the more information that comes out, the worse the Biden administration looks as it becomes ever more clear that the border crisis was allowed to fester on purpose:
CE and DHS officials then said a review of their records showed that the Biden administration “cooked the books” and “falsely inflated” ICE arrest data, and were “purposely misleading the American public” by categorizing illegal aliens who were processed by ICE and released into the interior of the US as ICE arrests.
ICE says their review found “tens of thousands” of cases in which these so called “pass through arrests”, where no immigration enforcement action was taken and the aliens were released into the country, were counted as interior ICE arrests in the data. ICE says this was a directive from the previous leadership at DHS, and it included thousands of violent criminals and gang members.
ICE says they are currently attempting to locate and arrest these previous “pass through arrests” from the Biden admin.
Biden did tremendous damage to this country, some of which will be felt for years. Among his most damaging failures was his complete dereliction of duty at the border. The Trump Team is doing a tremendous job of trying to fix the disaster that the former president left, and these numbers are further proof that “all we needed was a new president.”
