It seems like on every afternoon that ends with “day,” a federal judge steps in and slaps the Trump Administration with a restraining order designed to thwart his agenda. The numbers are stark:
The legal clashes over President Trump’s blizzard of executive actions are intensifying, with new lawsuits and fresh rulings emerging day and night.
As of March 15, at least 46 of those rulings have at least temporarily paused some of the president’s initiatives.
Trial court judges have issued temporary orders that block the unilateral firing of civil servants, the access that Elon Musk’s team has enjoyed to sensitive agency data, the relocation of transgender women inmates to men’s prisons, the pursuit of immigrants inside houses of worship, and the freezing of up to $3 trillion in federal funding to the states.
The onslaught continued Tuesday as yet another judge decided he was the boss and told Trump that their dismantling of the left-wing agency USAID was likely unconstitutional:
A federal judge in Maryland has ruled that the Trump administration’s efforts to shut down the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) were likely unconstitutional, and has ordered it to ultimately reinstate the agency’s lawful functions.
On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang concluded DOGE’s efforts “to shut down USAID on an accelerated basis, including its apparent decision to permanently close USAID headquarters without the approval of a duly appointed USAID officer, likely violated the United States Constitution in multiple ways.”
An Obama Judge has ordered President Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE to reinstate USAID.
The answer should be ABSOLUTELY NOT. If this Judge wants waste, fraud and abuse reinstated then he can enforce his order. Oh wait, he can’t.

The judge went a lot further than that though, ordering the administration to undo all the progress that that’s been achieved:
In his ruling, Chuang, a 2014 Obama bench appointee, also ordered immediate restoration of email and computer access to all USAID employees, including those placed on administrative leave.
DOGE is now prohibited from any further cuts to USAID.
The lawsuit was filed by current and former agency employees and contractors.

I don’t have a law degree (although I know lots of folks who have them who frankly aren’t that smart), so I’m not going to analyze the pros and cons of each and every decision against the administration. I do, however, possess eyes and a brain, and it doesn’t seem to be a stretch to point out that there are an awful lot of judicial actions going against the White House these days. Where were these jurists when Biden was flying illegal aliens all over the country?

As RedState’s Bonchie reported in February, Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) discovered that USAID is a cesspool of waste that sends millions of taxpayer dollars overseas for objectives that are not in the interests of the United States.

I don’t know about you, but as an American taxpayer, I don’t want my dollars going towards this crap, and I know the American people don’t either, and that’s exactly what Elon Musk has been tasked by President Trump to do. To get the fraud, waste, and abuse out of our federal government.
The Trump administration may well indeed prevail in some of these cases and be able to enact the agenda that the American people voted for. In the meantime, however, it sure seems that many of these legal minds have decided that they—and not the duly elected president—get to decide how we’re going to run the country.
