Another ramming attack, this time in Mannheim, Germany:
A man is under arrest and several people are seriously injured, including at least one possibly killed, after a ‘black SUV’ was driven into a crowd of people in a German city on Monday morning.
Several people are injured, some seriously, and at least one person was laid under a bloodied sheet — presumed deceased — in the city of Mannheim on the Rhine in Baden-Württemberg on Monday morning.
I believe at least two are now reported dead.
Police have yet to make any comment on the cause of this incident or whether there is any known motive.
I will hazard a wild guess that the perpetrator was not a Hindu or a Buddhist or a Christian, nor was he a “domestic right-wing extremist,” as our FBI would put it.
These terrorist attacks are the reason why the Alternative for Germany did so well in the German elections of a week ago. AfD is a “far right” party, which means that it is wants to actually do something–as opposed to merely deploring–terrorist attacks by asylum seekers and others. And of course, across the rest of Germany’s political spectrum, the overriding concern is keeping the “far right” out of the government, not doing something about mass murder.
Watch for AfD to continue rising in the polls, as such attacks continue to take place.
