‘Baywatch’ Alum Recalls Horrifying 13-Year Ordeal Involving Female Stalker

“Baywatch” alum Alexandra Paul recalled the “nightmare” of an obsessed female fan who allegedly stalked her family for 13 years and cost her more than $60,000 in legal fees.

In a story published by the Ankler, the 61-year-old actress wrote about an unnamed German woman, 20 years younger than her, who allegedly became so focused on her that it forced the actress’ family to move, get multiple restraining orders, and eventually seek help from the FBI.

She wrote that it all began in December 2011, when the unnamed women and her brother rang the doorbell of Paul’s home and asked if her brother could use her bathroom, because they lived several hours away.

“Always the people pleaser, I invited them in,” the actress wrote. “I made small talk with her and introduced my husband Ian while the little boy used the toilet.”

Soon she found numerous notes on her porch from the person. When Paul’s husband Ian Murray asked the person to leave them alone, she initially agreed. However, months later the couple discovered the woman had rented a room in their neighborhood.

Paul said she next found the woman had joined her gym, calling it “eerie” how she was always there at the same time as her.

“I alerted the management at the gym, but there was nothing they could do,” Paul wrote. “So I left that gym because they could not legally require her to leave.”

After the woman allegedly “cornered [her] in a parking garage” and “tried to physically prevent [her] from walking away,” she got her first restraining order.

But she wrote that it did nothing to stop this woman and said that soon, “her attitude towards me vacillated from awkward adoration to hatred for my husband (‘If it wasn’t for Ian,’ the stalker told a judge at one hearing, ‘Alexandra and I would be close friends’), to a certainty that I needed rescuing from him, to anger at both of us for ignoring her, to an insistence that I really was in love with her.’”

When those efforts failed, the stalker reportedly started accusing Paul of being a “criminal” and  “anti-Semite,” even allegedly sending a letter to the star’s mom claiming to be her daughter’s “secret lover who needed saving from [her] violent, cheating husband.”

After years of harassment, she wrote that the woman was finally deported back to Germany because she had been in the United States illegally. Just two years later, she returned.

Paul and her husband eventually decided in 2022 to pack up and secretly move after the obsessive fan hit allegedly Murray with her car, launched an “online campaign against her husband, accusing him of pedophilia,” and more restraining orders failed.

The TV star wrote that they got “special new IDs,” but “within six weeks” the alleged stalker had found them. Finally, she said the FBI got involved and arrested the woman because she crossed state lines.

Five months into her incarceration, the LA prosecutor’s office told Paul about the woman’s breast cancer diagnosis and that she’d asked the couple if she “could spend her last days at home.”  They agreed, and she died in July of 2024.
