THANK you to readers who have responded to this year’s Church Times Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund appeal. So far, £8623.44 has been raised to help ordinands in Africa, many of whom struggle to support themselves and their families.
We are conscious that many readers have their own financial pressures, and generously support other causes, are so are deeply grateful for any donations. True to the history of the TAP Fund, not a single penny is used for the administration of the fund, so that donors can be sure that everything they give will go directly to ordinands as they prepare for ministry in some of the most challenging conditions in the world.
Thanks to a legacy of nearly £80,000, TAP grants continue to be available to any English ordinands who experience financial difficulties. (These are disbursed by the Ministry Division.)
