During a discussion about the priorities of the Democrat Party and its sock-puppet media on Wednesday’s edition of Fox News’ “The Five,” co-host Greg Gutfeld masterfully spoke about Democrat priorities, including the left’s histrionics over President Donald Trump’s deportation of illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia, whom the White House asserts is a member of the violent international criminal gang, MS-13 — AKA the “Maryland Man” to the Democrat Party and its media simps.
Also at issue in the segment was the left’s non-reaction to the mother of Rachel Morin, the Maryland woman who was fatally attacked on a popular hiking trail in a Baltimore suburb in 2023.
Patty Morin was invited as a “special guest” to a Wednesday House briefing, where she shared details about her daughter and how she was attacked and violently murdered.
Mrs. Morin clearly remains broken-hearted, yet she spoke eloquently, just two days after an illegal alien, Salvadorean Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, 24, was convicted of first-degree murder, first-degree rape, third-degree sex offense, and kidnapping her daughter.
Gutfeld summed up the Democrats’ priorities, perfectly:
You can offer [Democrats] two sides, and they can’t help but pick the wrong one.
Bingo. I could write the rest of this article about a multitude of examples to bolster Gutfeld’s assertion, but you’re likely aware of most if not all of those I’d list, if not more — so here’s more Gutfeld:
You look at the mother, and you can hear [Maryland Democrat Sen. Chris] Van Hollen’s words about who the most vulnerable is. He’s talking about the gangbanger. The effin’ Democrats — you can offer them two sides, and they can’t help but pick the wrong one.
For years, we’ve dealt with illegal immigration — the consequences felt in our cities, and in our morgues. And now we’ve stopped it, and who do they side with? An illegal with a history of violence who beats women. Good job, Dems, you never fail us. Whether it’s Antifa, BLM [Black Lives Matter], Hamas — Is there any dirtbag that you won’t embrace, for political reasons?
How many traps do the Democrats and the media lead people into? It always ends the same way! “The border agent whipped the migrants; ‘Oh my God I can’t believe—’ Oh, wait — that didn’t happen.”
“Musk is a Nazi!” You’re gonna go out and key cars. You’re being filmed. Now you’re going to jail for 20 years. Why did you listen to them?
“Trans kids are real!” Oh, now you find out it’s just some bizarre experiment on children. “Oh, I didn’t know that.” “There’s white supremacy in the military!” No. Just CRT [Critical Race Theory] and DEI [Diversity, Equity, Inclusion]. “Trump is Hitler!” No he’s not, but he gets shot.
“he pee tape is real; the laptop is fake; Joe Biden is sharp as a tack.”
“Do you notice this?” Gutfeld implored Democrat voters. “How long are you going to put up with this?!”

Unfortunately, with respect to Gutfeld’s question, liberals and leftists have overwhelmingly “put up with” the Democrat Party for six decades or longer, believing promise after promise made that never came to fruition; pitting race against race, and class against class.
Yet a majority of liberal voters have continued to support a dishonest party that has convinced them over the decades that, while it might not deliver on all of its promises, they should simply think about how terrible life would be if the Democrat Party didn’t protect them from the “evil” Republicans.
Then, during the 2024 presidential election, a record number of Democrat voters — including Black and Hispanic voters — crossed party lines and supported Trump. And the Democrats, rather than change their worn-out politics of division and personal destruction, only upped their insane game in the aftermath of Trump’s triumphant return to the White House.
Gutfeld continued by attacking the left-wing media:
How long are going to put up with this crap where they lead you down a path for a political reason, and you find out you’re in quicksand?
What is more repulsive to me is how the media still thinks it can decide what your priorities are. What people in the world you should care about. They plant this idea of this one man in your head and say ‘Why don’t you care about him?’
This is after they ignored illegals coming in; crime in every city; shuffling young women around; pushed in front of subway trains; raped and murdered — you wanna ‘George Floyd’ this guy? Go for it. Because you know how that turned out, right? You saw the autopsy — you didn’t care about that.
All this is, is scoring symbolic virtue points. The Democrats pick and choose their victims based on how it helps them politically, and how it could be exploited for public sentiment.
But every person at home; you know the concentric circles of caring: you, your family, your friends, your neighbors, your community. A creep from El Salvador — he can’t jump that line. This is a border that he can’t cross, and every time the libs try to cross that border at your house, you have to fight back.
“I’m so happy that we got the truth out there, Gutfeld emphatically said as he wrapped up, “and shut all these people up.”
The rest of the panel was left speechless, with only co-host Jesse Watters gently clapping his hands.
The Bottom Line
If not for the record crossover vote in the 2024 election, I’d say — to myself, at least —that while Gutfeld’s monologue was dead on, what difference does it make? The old song on the left will only remain the same.
But after less than 100 days into Trump’s second term, his record approval ratings in the polls, and what I believe is an ever-broader base of Americans liking what Trump’s doing, if this president continues to deliver throughout his entire four years, there just might be hope and concrete results for the next generation of the Republican Party to inherit.
Meanwhile, the delusion and bitterness of the left will only get worse.
