Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is known for presenting himself as a high-minded, holier-than-thou lawmaker who just wants unity and peaceful democracy—all the while spewing out incendiary rhetoric seemingly designed to encourage violence.
This call to action domestic terrorism will live on in infamy:
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Although they’ll tell you that white supremacists are the threat, and that there are bloodthirsty bigots in MAGA caps hiding around the corner waiting to beat you, it is they themselves who are increasingly calling for outright terrorism—although they couch their words and when questioned say, “Oh, I didn’t mean it that way.”
Yes they did, and yes, they continue to mean it.
Chuck was back at it again Thursday on MSNBC’s “Chris Jansing Reports,” this time calling for “extraordinary action” if Trump continues to clash with the nation’s judiciary, who seem hell-bent on blocking almost every single one of his initiatives. “Extraordinary,” of course, is the combination of two words, “extra” and “ordinary,” so he’s essentially saying his acolytes must go further than just firebombing Tesla dealerships and threatening GOP politicians.
Democrats Are Telling You Violence Against You Is on the Table, and You Should Believe Them
What exactly he is calling for is unclear:
As with seemingly everything these days, it all comes back to illegal immigrant, accused wife beater, MS-13 gangbanger, and human trafficker Kilmar Abrego-Garcia, who was deported lawfully but sent to an El Salvador prison in error (he’s supposedly scared of gang retaliation in his home country).
Schumer (emphasis mine):
[Host] Jansing said, “The Supreme Court said the administration must facilitate the return of Kilmer Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador. That has not happened. Are we at the point, Senator, where you feel extraordinary action is warranted?”
Schumer said, “Look, the case will be back to the Supreme Court, they sent it down to the lower court judge. But if the president disobeys a Supreme Court order, extraordinary action will be necessary. We’ve never had that in the Republic before, in the kind of way that the president is doing it. And again, he doesn’t believe in democracy. He doesn’t believe there should be diversity of opinion. He doesn’t believe in due process. You can’t pick up someone off the streets and send them somewhere if you don’t have evidence, if you haven’t presented evidence against them, the country, the democracy is at risk.”
Note that Schumer is pushing this “resistance” based solely on “ifs.” “If” this happens, “if” that happens. It’s now become part of the Democrat playbook to call for violence based on their imagined reality that something might happen.
He added, “If the Supreme Court makes a final decision and Trump decides to disobey it, and it will be on all of us, not just the political leaders, but certainly us, but on all Americans to resist that. I think that would happen.”
And what form, exactly, would that “resistance” take? I think we all know.
The Democrats’ continued calls for domestic terrorism—even as they act oh-so-pious—are a recipe for disaster, and we’ve already seen the tragic consequences repeatedly.
Schumer is a disgrace.
