The absurdity coming from left-wing judges escalated on Monday when one of them claimed that “nazis got better treatment” than the Venezuelan gang members the Trump administration recently deported. Judge Patricia Millett made the statement during a court hearing, using the setting to chastise the federal government for its supposed mistreatment of alleged members of the violent Tren de Aragua gang.

“There were plane loads of people. There were no procedures in place to notify people,” Judge Patricia Millett said. “Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act.”
Judge Millett noted that alleged Nazis were given hearing boards and were subject to established regulations, while the alleged members of Tren De Aragua were given no such rights.
“There’s no regulations, and nothing was adopted by the agency officials that were administering this. They people weren’t given notice. They weren’t told where they were going. They were given those people on those planes on that Saturday and had no opportunity to file habeas or any type of action to challenge the removal under the AEA,” Judge Millet said. “What’s factually wrong about what I said?”
I’m not sure what comparison she thinks she’s making there. Her contention seems to be that members of a murderous gang are somehow more virtuous than nazis and thus deserve better treatment. Personally, that’s a distinction I don’t think needs to be made, and the judge should really offer some specifics to flesh out such an analogy.
Who is she specifically talking about when she says nazis? As in, what historical cases in the United States is she citing? Since she doesn’t say, the accuracy of her claim can’t even be properly checked. That’s the kind of flawed argument that would get you kicked out of a high-school debate club. It certainly shouldn’t be a tactic deployed by a federal judge during official proceedings. Comparisons to nazis are rarely a good idea, and that remains true in this case.

🔥TOM HOMAN TORCHES JUDGE WHO CLAIMS “NAZIS GOT BETTER TREATMENT” THAN CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS:
“It’s RIDICULOUS! It’s just another example of a radical judge saying something that’s just DISGUSTING. To compare anything to the Nazis? The Holocaust?!”

HOMAN: Well, first of all, that’s ridiculous. It’s just another example of a radical judge saying something that’s just disgusting. To compare anything to the Nazis? The Holocaust? We follow the law. The Alien Enemies Act is clear. A law that was passed by Congress, signed by a president, we’re following, unlike the last administration, we’re actually following the law. MS-13 and TDA are designated terrorist organizations. We remove terrorists, and to compare that anyway whatsoever with nazis is disgusting on every level.
It’s beyond clear that the Trump administration is not going to be treated fairly by this judge. If she’s claiming in a courtroom that these gang members were treated worse than nazis, then her mind is made up. All of this just becomes a waiting game for the appellate process to play out. These lower court judges are overstepping their bounds for political reasons, and they are abusing the process.
I don’t want the judiciary to be distrusted. I think the country is far better off with a system that follows the law, even when it doesn’t feed a particular political desire. We don’t have that system right now, though, and the damage being done by these lower-level judges is immeasurable. You’d think they’d consider that before giving some of these ridiculous rulings, but I suppose power can blind one to the consequences of their actions.
