Recently-elected chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Ken Martin is getting serious about opposing Pres. Donald Trump’s agenda. Martin posted on Twitter (X) today,
We’re launching a new DNC War Room. We are going to compete in every information space and put Trump and the Republicans on the defense every day. At this very moment, Trump is actively wrecking our country. He can’t go unchallenged.
Unchallenged? Serious question: in what “information space” are Democrats not competing? Because that’s where I want to be during every waking hour. I know Ken Martin to be an educated, well-traveled man. Surely, he has heard of the New York Times and NBC News, among hundreds of others. And don’t get me started about CNN at the airport.
I do not follow Mr. Martin on any social media platforms, yet I see his every post on Twitter’s “For You” tab, including this gem, also from this morning,
Robert Kennedy Jr. has murdered another child in Texas.
Martin appears to be referring to a recent measles fatality.
Fox News has a report that puts the latest DNC initiative into some context. Apparently, the missing piece is “podcasts.” From Fox News,
The press announcement adds that the initiative will seek to “reach beyond traditional audiences” with their efforts, including by “prioritizing efforts to compete in conservative and mixed media spaces.”
They specifically mention California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s new podcast. The full DNC press release can be read here.
Ken Martin is one of those figures, like Gov. Tim Walz and U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, that Minnesota has inflicted upon the rest of America.
For that, we are deeply sorry.
