Ian Davies, TfGM’s Interim Director for Metrolink has provided a statement, reported Manchester Evening News:
“Due to a loss of power on the Deansgate-Castlefield line, all city centre and Ashton services are suspended.
“Services are operating between Didsbury and Firswood, Manchester Airport and Firswood, Altrincham and Old Trafford, Trafford Park and Wharfside, Eccles and Media City.
“Ticket acceptance is in place across bus services and staff are out across the network to help customers.
“Alongside the operator we are investigating as a matter of urgency and apologise for any inconvenience this is causing.
“We will of course keep people updated and we’d encourage customers to check the Bee Network app, website and social channels for the latest information and advice.”
