Gadi Taub is an Israeli after my own heart. He explains Israel’s current internal political turmoil in terms that will sound painfully familiar to those of us on the right in the United States. See his Tablet column “Netanyahu Takes On Israel’s Deep State.” Highly recommended.
We have a deep state of our own, of course, and we have seen it in action. Putting the deep state to one side, we have another familiar problem on the home front.
Supporters of Hamas showed their colors outside Penn Hillel today. The Daily Pennsylvanian reports on the “protest” here.
The presence of Noa Tishby and two October 7 survivors at Hillel seems to have set the “protesters” off. Their survival gives offense. The environment on campus can’t be conducive to the health and well-being of Jewish students.
Who were those masked men? Maybe DP news editor Ethan Young can follow up and let us know.
NEW: A crowd of about 75 pro-Palestinian protesters rallied near Penn Hillel, where an event featuring survivors of the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack is taking place.
Some individuals chanted chanted “F**k Penn” and “F**k Hillel” as they passed. https://t.co/SCNnzZvTTp
