The reverberations continue over the decision by Hennepin County (MN) attorney Mary Moriarty not to prosecute the serial Tesla vandal and state employee Dylan Adams with any crimes.
Adams, age 33, is accused of vandalizing six Teslas over a two-week period in late March in separate incidents taking place in Minneapolis. Moriarty opted to place Adams in a “diversion” program rather than charging him with the six felony counts recommended by the City of Minneapolis police department, who conducted the investigation and arrested Adams last week.
My own contribution to the debate has been published by the New York Post and can be read here.
Today, the UK Daily Mail weighed in, again: America’s wokest DA breaks her own rules to let Tim Walz worker who keyed six Teslas off the hook.
What rules? The Daily Mail and other media outlets have pointed out that the county attorney’s own guidelines limit the use of diversion to property crimes of less than $5,000. It’s been reported that of Adams’ six Tesla attacks totaling $21,000 in damages, a single incident accounts for half (over $10,000) of that total.
Breitbart has posted a piece garnering much attention: ‘Two-Tier Justice:’ Soros-Backed Minnesota Prosecutor Mary Moriarty Slammed for Not Filing Charges Against Tesla Vandal
I don’t think we’ve heard the last of this.
