On Monday, the White House reported on the achievements made in President Donald Trump’s first 100 days dealing with the border and illegal aliens. They’ve delivered in a big way, drastically reducing the number of illegal entries.
As an emphasis of their effort, the White House put 100 signs depicting illegal aliens they had arrested up on the lawn for all to see, with their alleged crimes under their mugshots.
What was also genius about it was the position it put the liberal media in. Listen as MSNBC realizes the situation and doesn’t sound at all happy about it, saying the White House has put up 100 posters of what they say are “unauthorized immigrants.”

“What’s particularly noteworthy about this location is it’s right directly behind the positions where TV correspondents do their hits from the White House lawn,” MSNBC’s Jonathan Lemire observed. “If you’re doing a hit from the White House right now, those pictures will be behind you.”
Pretty sure that’s the point, Jonathan.
Now, first, I think I can say with some certainty that no one in the administration would have called them “unauthorized immigrants.” So with that alone, we can see how MSNBC isn’t just doing straight reporting, but they’re putting spin on the matter. The word is “illegal alien,” not some other term to minimize the problem.
But then it’s truly funny that they have to cover the cases and show their audiences a little reality by showing the signs.
An MSNBC guest, Voto Latino CEO María Teresa Kumar, suggested that any media doing coverage blur the mugshots. She said we didn’t know yet if they had “due process.”
🚨’Voto Latino’ President is very unhappy about posters of arrested violent aliens in background of reporters at WH —
— wants media to “blur those people out.”
Maria Teresa Kumar insists the media has the responsibility to present only facts and balanced reporting.

Kumar claimed the media had a responsibility to present only the facts. But they’re not presenting the facts if they blur out the pictures. Also, it is perfectly normal to release mugshots of people arrested — such pictures are regularly covered in the media. So what is different about this situation?
Then, too, it’s funny to suggest that MSNBC presents the facts, given their history.
Now, by talking about it, MSNBC drew even more attention to the posters. So they didn’t help themselves. Not exactly a great move. More people are talking about it than if they had said nothing. So it looks like a pretty smart move on the part of the White House.
