#1 – Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson Shows She’s Either the Dumbest or Most Evil Justice on the Supreme Court — by Bonchie
Look, I’m not a lawyer, but I’m going to go way out on a limb and suggest that a Supreme Court justice should have some basic grasp of the details being argued in front of them before jumping into the fray. Not Jackson, though. She wasn’t aware (or at least pretended she wasn’t) that the Montgomery County School District, which is at the center of this argument, requires the books in question to be taught to students.
To offer further context, this case surrounds a specific LGBTQ curriculum that was mandated some years prior. The books are not just “sitting on the shelves,” and even if they were, I would argue that parents have a right to object to their children being exposed to them. This is basic stuff. Schools should not be teaching things like sexuality to kids. There is no reason to do it, and it can clearly violate the religious rights of parents in the process.
But while Jackson often comes across as vapid and ill-equipped, as I mentioned, the other option is that she’s just evil, and the rest is an act.
#2 – Patel Levels Dems Over Judge’s Arrest With One Photo; Even CNN Admits They Have a Problem — by Nick Arama
The Democrats’ position is always how they can use something to be anti-Trump, though; they don’t seem to care about the facts or the point that Honig is making here.
Once again, they’re digging themselves a deep hole, going all in on this matter. When even CNN has to admit the problem here, you know the Democrats have stranded themselves out on a ledge. It also tells you how little they have with which to attack Trump that’s legitimate, when they have to resort to this kind of thing to fit their “no one is a king” narrative.
How do they think the American people will view this? I assure them, not at all kindly, and it isn’t even a close call. At this point, they’ve become the party wedded to illegal aliens, and that’s going to kill them in the midterms.
#3 – Van Hollen Trainwrecks on the Sunday Shows, Reveals Who’s Paying for His Trip — by Nick Arama
After a week in which Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) completely embarrassed himself by having a meeting with an illegal alien alleged MS-13 gang member who has also been accused of beating his wife, you might think he would go to ground and hide away in shame. But that would mean he had shame.
He apparently doesn’t, since instead, he was hitting all the Sunday shows on Easter trying to attack the Trump team and push the twisted narrative of his visit. But even going on friendly stations didn’t go well for him.
On “Meet the Press,” he didn’t seem to understand why the murder of Rachel Morin, a resident of Maryland, the state he’s supposed to represent, was relevant.
#4 – The Truth About That American Citizen Detained by ICE Comes Out, and Narratives Burn to the Ground — by Bonchie
This is why it’s always smart to wait for more details before jumping on a story that sounds too good to be true, politically speaking. Democrats and those generally skeptical of Trump’s increased immigration enforcement thought they had the holy grail here. Finally, ICE had rashly and unconstitutionally scooped up a U.S. citizen and violated their rights for over a week. It was the talking point they wanted.
Except it turns out that Hermosillo not only told immigration authorities he wasn’t an American citizen, but he even concocted an entire story about crossing the border illegally to find work in the United States. Why did he do that? I have no idea. Maybe he’s got mental issues. Maybe he was doing something he wasn’t supposed to be doing and thought posing as an illegal immigrant was the better option.
Whatever the reason, given what we’ve learned, it seems patently absurd to continue to blame ICE and the administration for this when this guy left them no choice by lying to them. Were they supposed to ascertain his real history through some sort of telepathy?
#5 – Woke Democrats Who Traveled to El Salvador Are Given a New Nickname – and They’re Not Gonna Like It — by Sister Toldjah
Then there were the four Democrat House members who traveled there Monday to seek Abrego Garcia’s release, only to get promptly shut down by Salvadoran officials because they were not in the country in an “official capacity.”
As RedState reported, Democrat Reps. Robert Garcia (CA), Maxwell Frost (FL), Yassamin Ansari (AZ), and Maxine Dexter (OR) are back from their trip, making a pit stop on CNN where they vowed to continue fighting on behalf of Abrego Garcia. They said this despite the fact that El Salvador’s president, Nayib Bukele, has stated he has no intentions of returning him, and despite the fact that the Trump administration has made clear he is not ever coming back to the United States.
The antics of the Traveling Clown Show have earned them a fitting new nickname from House Republicans.
