President Donald Trump proved once again to be the king of trolling when he took a jab at Taylor Swift at a White House celebration for the Super Bowl LIX Champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaking on Monday during a ceremony on the South Lawn at the White House, Trump praised the Eagles team for their victory against the Kansas City Chiefs at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Swift is dating Chiefs star Travis Kelce and attended the Super Bowl in February, cheering on the Kansas City team, which lost 22-40.
“And you know what happened. It was an incredible game,” Trump said of the Chiefs and Eagles Super Bowl rematch. “It was a little surprising. But right from the beginning of the first quarter of the big game. Which I was there. I watched in person.”

“I was there, along with Taylor Swift,” he added. “How did that work out? How did that one work out?”
The comment drew laughter from those who attended the Eagles’ celebration.
Trump has been trolling the superstar singer since the “Shake It Off” hitmaker endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris in September 2024.
In an Instagram post, Swift encouraged her followers to vote for Harris and Walz, labeling her “calm and not chaos.” She also praised the Democrats’ support for “LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
In response, Trump wrote on social media, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!!!!!”
Later, Trump spoke to the Fox and Friends hosts about the singer and said he liked “Mrs. Mahomes MUCH better,” referencing Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes who made headlines after she liked a Trump post and promptly went on defense against the “haters.”
“She’s a big Trump fan,” he added. “I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time. She couldn’t … you couldn’t possibly endorse [President Joe] Biden.”
“You look at Biden, you couldn’t possibly endorse him,” Trump continued. “But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it at the, uh, in the marketplace. But no, I like Brittany. I think Brittany’s great. She got a lot of news last week…”
Following the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory, Trump wrote on his Truth Social that it wasn’t a good night for Swift, RedState reported.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!”
