The sparks were absolutely flying during a panel discussion about Greenland on CNN’s Wednesday night broadcast of “NewsNight with Abby Phillip.”
GOP strategist Scott Jennings was up to his usual shenanigans, batting away absurd commentary from the left-wing contributors as they spout their inane analysis.
Former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross, who hosted “The Cross Connection” until she was effectively relieved of her duties by the network just before the 2022 midterms, attempted to argue that President Trump was seeking to colonize Greenland.
“It’s a colonizer’s attitude to say, ‘I like it, I‘m just going to steal it,'” Cross said of the administration’s ongoing attempts to acquire the autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark.
When Jennings countered that the administration is not, in fact, trying to “steal” anything, Cross remained undeterred in delivering the false narrative.
“Well, that is what they‘re trying to do. And in this new world order — yeah, absolutely,” she continued. “When they‘re looking at Greenland and say, ‘I like it, I want to take it for mine,’ that is a very colonizing attitude.”
Phillip, the host who often interjects in arguments that Jennings is winning, tagged in to help out Cross by saying he’s pro-acquiring Greenland. That’s when things got extremely heated.

“I have never, ever said we‘re going to go to Greenland and ‘colonize it’ or steal it,” the conservative commentator countered. “That‘s crazy.”
“I’m not even talking about you. You’re not a member of the government, so you‘re irrelevant at that point,” Cross said. “I‘m talking about the president of the United States.”
That’s when Jennings delivered the knockout blow.
“You got fired from your job. How relevant are you?” he asked.

Following that exchange, Jennings might be brought up on manslaughter charges. Cross whines that she’s been insulted despite first saying that her colleague was “irrelevant” as she continues to argue her point.
And Jennings keeps batting her away like a wayward ping pong ball, dismissing the arguments with short replies repeatedly.
Tiffany Cross, during Trump’s first term, asserted that the MAGA hat is comparable to the swastika and said it’s high time the media start calling supporters of President Trump ‘racists.’
Because the media have never done that before.
Cross was the proud recipient of the highly esteemed RedState Pulitzer Prize Parody Awards in 2021 for her work in promoting a theory that black communities were not getting vaccinated from COVID due to white supremacy.
Honestly, she could have taken the award home again in 2022, the year she was fired from MSNBC.
That year, her guests included:
- Roland Martin, who argued that Republican voters were “evil” and called for “war” against them.
- Elie Mystal , who called a black GOP candidate “clearly unintelligent” and “what Republicans want from their negroes.”
- Contributor Sarah Kendzio, who pushed a conspiracy theory that Trump was “installed” as President as a means to benefit Vladimir Putin.
Besides that, though, it’s a perfectly normal show. Well, former show.
The network chose not to renew Cross’s weekend program just days before the 2022 midterms, with Mediaite reporting at the time that “comments and coverage from Cross did not adhere to MSNBC’s standards.”
To be fair to Cross, adhering to something that does not exist is challenging.
